O Wretched Man That I Am
by Randy Chambers, 2008-05-02
I teeter on the edge of my insanity,
and wonder when and where I'll finally fall.
I fight against the force of my humanity,
I long to turn toward the Shepherds quiet call.
I'm pulled and torn in two by my duality,
things are good and evil, bad; then all is well.
I'll find no rest within this harsh reality,
until withdrawn into a corner -- in a quiet padded cell...
O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? --Romans 7:24
