Some Trust

Psalm 20:7, NIV: Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.
Imagine being confronted by someone desiring to take your life. What do you do?
Are you prepared for such an encounter? Now imagine being confronted by a
hundred people trying to take your life. What do you do? Perhaps in the first
instance, you might try to defend yourself--and in the second instance--you may
simply fall on your face and ask God to save you. So what's the difference? At
what point do you decide that situation is too big for you? At what point do you
decide you need God? In all of life's situations, God is ready, able, and
pleased to be your Rock and your Fortress. From the life threatening situations,
to the smallest things, He is present. You do not, nor should you, wait until
you reach the limit of your own self-reliance. The questions may vary, but the
answer is always the same--seek Him first and find His way to handle even that
which you think you can handle without Him.
