God With Us

Matthew 1:23, NIV: “The virgin will be with child and will give
birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”–which means, “God with
us.”
Perhaps it’s a good time for us to reflect on just what it means that Christ came
to dwell among us. He came down to live among us, to save us from our sins, to bring us
abundant life, and to live in our hearts eternally. Consider what this means: God with us.
He is with us. Every day, and with every step we take—He is with us. And He has
promised us: “…surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age”
(Mt. 28:20). He is and will forever be—with us!
